Amanda & Nick } E Session } Perth Wedding Photographer
Posted on March 11, 2010
I went to this shoot wondering what it was going to be like, because as it is everytime – shooting someone new is like jumping into a murky lake – you just don’t know what it’s going to be like. In hindsight, I should have realised that it was going to be an easy easy shoot. Amanda & Nick were so relaxed and casual – possibly because in the heat of the afternoon, how could you not be? They brought their beautiful dog, Sam as well – who was incredibly spritely for one so old. Sam also was a camera hogger as well and wanted to be basically the star of the show! The day that Amanda & I chose to do their ‘E’ Session had, of course, to be a stupidly hot day followed by a very very hot evening. . . . . 37 degrees at 6 p.m. (will this summer ever end?). So, I decided to do something new and use my surroundings – so I got them into the water! I think this could possibly be one of my more favourite shoots of the season. I loved it. The challenge was, to get Nick smiling on camera – which he says ‘NEVER’ happens – this I did with finesse (I’m sounding like a cat that’s just eaten a bowl of creme
).
Well, I can’t wait for your wedding next week, it’s going to be lovely for sure!
Enjoy the images.

Chelsea and Pete are getting married next weekend and I can’t wait – it’s going to be beautiful. I was able to have a moment with them a few days ago in Hyde Park to take these shots and I was pretty thrilled!
Sneak Peak} Alison & Shane } Perth Wedding Photographer

When I first met this couple I fell immediately in love with them. They have been together for a whopping 9 years already and they broke my record for the youngest couple to get married for me.
Their day dawned very strangely, the sky was cloudy and looked like it was going to rain and it was so so humid – but it was a gorgeous wedding. Ali’s dress was couture and superb. The little details at the ceremony were gorgeous as well – Michelle at ‘The Cut’ worked hard to get it just right. I love the part when Ali and her dad are walking down the ‘aisle’ and their heads are just coming over the horizon – it was a beautiful moment.
I’m trying something different now . . . a few images and then a little slideshow to show you a few more. Enjoy!
Thank you so much to Holly Netto from Holly Netto Photography who helped me with this wedding and has some of her images featured in the slideshow.
Thanks Holly!

Michelle’s been emailing me, dying to see the sneak peak of the session I did with them recently and I have been dying to also get them up. I had so much fun with two – such a lovely couple. The Session ended up being much longer than usual as the light went from beautiful to magical in the space of an hour. It also helped that a very kind gentleman came to me and offered me his property for photographic use whilst waiting for Michelle and Justin to turn up – and boy was that place fantastic! It was an old turn of the century derelict weatherboard (wait . . . . that sounds like my house
) with cool walls and textures. As usual, for me – I just got colour, colour and more colour. Please believe me when I tell you that I love love love Black & White, but hey when I see colour like the colour that was at Michelle & Justin’s shoot – it’s hard to pass it by

When this gorgeous couple booked me to photograph their wedding in Geraldton, I was really really excited – I love a good country wedding! They had their E session in Perth on one these strange days where there was no light and much haze (and a whole lot of humidity
). I can’t wait to travel up to Geraldton in April for the Wedding, I think it’s going to be an absolutely gorgeous one!

Prom Nite . . . . oops I mean The Yr 12 Ball! } Perth Family Photographer
Posted on February 21, 2010
I can only ever think of the Yr 12 Ball as ‘Prom Nite’ and luckily for you, I won’t subject you to a picture of me on my Prom night – all those years ago on an island in the Gulf of Mexico. Instead, how about some lovely pictures of this gorgeous family, and especially of one beautiful young lady who is on her last year of high school and was dressed and ready for the ball?
Then there was the second part of the shoot, which was the R Family – which are soon to hear wedding bells. Again, they were all gorgeous and full of fun.
It was lovely meeting you all, your gallery will be up shortly!
A P.S.: If there are enough comments made . . . . . I might even post a ghastly photograph with me and my gorgeous purple prom dress!

The First day of School} Perth Family Photographer
Posted on February 2, 2010
Here we are celebrating Christmas & New Year’s, hanging out at the Pool and doing all sort’s of summery things . . . . . and suddenly 2010 has started and the new school year has begun
It’s like the horse races – you need to be looking left and right so as to not miss anything. I doubt we’ll come first, but it would be nice to finish intact
I try (and I use that word very loosely) to photograph the girls on their first day of school, so this year I’ve done it a little differently.
She’s such a laugh, this child. All gangly, leggy and individual.
Then you’ve got this little one – all full of laughs and play, then goes to Pre-Primary and hides behind my skirts. . . . . very very shy – you wouldn’t pick it, would you?
