Beautiful Mummy-to-be} Perth Maternity Photographer

Posted on July 18, 2013

I’ve been away to Singapore and so am a few posts behind, but I wanted to show off beautiful Bec, who had her baby just before I left to Singapore.  She was so gorgeous and it was such a pleasure to photograph her in my studio.  Can’t wait to meet her little guy.

An Underwater Portrait session {Perth Family Photographer}

Posted on June 18, 2013

Sometimes we artists, do amazing and crazy things to be creative.  I had planned a river shoot for a Kayaker and wanted try out some Underwater Housing.  Of course, I didn’t really think about doing this a few months ago in the middle of summer – no no, I chose a cold, cloudy winter’s day to trial the housing.  My daughter excitedly agreed to be my model (I don’t think she realised just how cold it was going to be :) )

In the end, battling temperatures of 15 degrees celsius, I only managed to go down into the water 5 times.  I was really very lucky and love the images.

In fact, I will be offering these sorts of sessions during the Summer and can’t wait.

Thank you to my darling girl.

I photographed a very large, extended & gorgeous family a few weeks ago and I have finally managed to blog some of the images taken on the evening.  Every 10 years, the beautiful Matriach of this  family has time recorded – which is an absolutely fantastic idea!

Personally, I would do it every year :)

It was a pleasure to meet all of you – the images will be ready shortly :)

Alice in Wonderland …. all grown up} Perth Children Photographer

Posted on May 9, 2013

In June 2011, I photographed this little baby – she was quiet and thoughtful and quite lovely.

Her eyes were the cute baby blue’s that generally change colour.  Her parents were quietly in love with this darling little human.

Although, I do think their dog was less impressed :)

So, now it’s April 2013 and I got to photograph this delightful little baby who has grown up into a beautiful little girl.

If you are a mother, you know that 22 month little girls have minds of thier own and will only do what they want to do and Alice was no different.

I didn’t mind, she just made me work a little harder to get the images that would showcase her.

(I was huffing and puffing by the end of it LOL).

Really, who could resist the abvoe image?  She loves her Owl and wouldn’t do anything without it.

Of course, Owl was forgotten when something that was pretty in pink was handed to her!

Her beautiful blue eyes were so pretty.

So that’s pretty Alice.  I wonder what she’s going to be like in another year?

Unique, sweet, happy and loved.

The Princess Bride Part 1 } Perth Wedding Photographer

Posted on May 7, 2013

When I first met Rachel, she was about 16 years old and a passionate dancer.   She stood out in the group of dancers with her amazing smile and stage presence.  I would post some those images, but this isn’t what this post is about.  This about a beautiful dancer & teacher who met a boy and had a fairytale wedding.  I found it so delightful that I was asked to photograph her wedding, as I knew that she would be so beautiful and glorious on her day.

The day started with Joshua, her gorgeous Groom to be.

He was calm and quietly nervous getting ready – but also ready.

Ok, things were a little different at Rachel’s Mums house.  Firstly, instead of playing manly pool they were singing ‘Dancing Queen’ to Mama Mia and having a ball.  The house was full of flowers, makeup, girls, hair and outfits.  A gorgeous tiny old house packed full of women :)

My little girl who is on the top right image and far right was asked to be flower girl.   She and Teagan were so excited to get their hair done and dress in the gorgeous white dress.

I love the image of Rachel on the table, because I took this a little while ago:  HERE

Getting ready was full of laughter and nerves.  Rachel had chosen such a beautiful dress and her bridesmaid also looked gorgeous.  I’ve heard that orange is the colour this year and it was really gorgeous with this wedding.  Rachel’s Mum joined in getting her ready – all hands on deck when you are lacing in :)

You can tell that she has such a gorgeous relationship with her girls :)

One of these images have been taken by my friend, Sue Doble – where Rachel and her friend are having a beautiful moment.  It was such a lovely image, I had to add it to this post.

So that’s the end of Part 1 – there were so many to choose, that I thought I’d get the first out straight away.

Holly, my right hand woman, photograph’s beautifully and she has a never ending supply of humor and talent.  It is always a pleasure.

Sue, joined us for the day to assist with bags, food, drinks and time.  She was fabulous and we now regret that we haven’t had her with us before.

Thank you so much Holly & Sue

Dance Couture } Perth Dance Photographer

Posted on November 20, 2012

Every year at this time, I have photographed dance.  I eat, drink, sleep and wake with it.  I take thousands of photographs, with only half making the cut …. I’m fussy about composistion, colour balance, sharpness and passionate about the image.  I love photographing the dancers when they are in motion … it’s so exhilerating and uplifting.  This year, I was finally able to hold private dance sessions in my studio – 42 dancers in 26 hours and over 4000 amazing images.

The one below is a quick pick, but also a favourite.

For all of you talented dancers who want to start looking at your gorgeous images:

I love Christenings} Perth Family Photographer

Posted on November 19, 2012

This lovely family flew all the way from Singapore to christen their beautiful new baby and I got to photograph this lovely event a few weeks ago at my local Catholic Church.  It was lovely, simple and very sweet … especially since this gorgeous baby slept through the whole event!

(His gorgeous little brother)

He looks so serene here …. such a beautiful little boy :)

The same family then visited my new studio to have a portrait session before they jetted off:

It was such a pleasure to meet you all and I was so pleased to be able to photograph your gorgeous Christening.
