Prom Nite . . . . oops I mean The Yr 12 Ball! } Perth Family Photographer

Posted on February 21, 2010

I can only ever think of the Yr 12 Ball as ‘Prom Nite’ and luckily for you, I won’t subject you to a picture of me on my Prom night – all those years ago on an island in the Gulf of Mexico.  Instead, how about some lovely pictures of this gorgeous family, and especially of one beautiful young lady who is on her last year of high school and was dressed and ready for the ball?

Then there was the second part of the shoot, which was the R Family – which are soon to hear wedding bells.  Again, they were all gorgeous and full of fun.

It was lovely meeting you all, your gallery will be up shortly!

A P.S.:  If there are enough comments made . . . . . I might even post a ghastly photograph with me and my gorgeous purple prom dress!

When the mum of this gorgeous family asked me to photograph her family, she mentioned that she had an old farmhouse in Toodyay and wouldn’t it be nice to photograph there?  I leapt at the chance to do something different and fun . . . . little did I know that the day we decided to schedule the shoot it would end up being 45 degrees (45 DEGREES!!).   I actually think I might have passed out if i had gone on any longer :) .  The kids were fantastic – so much fun and up for anything.  The Farmhouse was settled in the 1830’s and was just beautiful and I felt so lucky to photograph there – especially because the Toodyay Fires started while we were there.  Thankfully for this family, their beautiful homestead was safe.  Now for the photographs:

The start of a New Year } Perth Family Photographer

Posted on January 4, 2010

Yesterday, I suddenly decided that I hadn’t done any pictures of my girls in a while – time flies away so quickly you know?  So I quickly go them sorted and took them into my bedroom (theirs is of course a pig sty!).  They loved being the stars of the show.  My oldest is so very photogenic, a natural in front of the camera.  My youngest is a cheeky soul who would rather take the picture than be in it.

Happy New Year to all!  It’s going to be an absolutely fantastic one for me, as I’m about to celebrate a Milestone birthday (I shan’t be giving away what age though :) ).   I feel that this could be a very lucky and happy year for me.  I started my last decade pregnant & vomiting (god do I remember that night!) and I finish at Burswood with the highest heels I could find and a lovely slinky dress; with my absolutely most favourite people at my side.  Right now to the pics!

This picture almost made me cry when I looked at it.  There is no one better out there that could get better out of these two than me, I figure!

It was Barb from Jinky Art who made me look more into the little things, the details – currently I’m seeing two sets of dirty feet – he he he!

Really, I didn’t set any of this up – they did all of this themselves.  Despite the fact that they fight a lot, they do adore each other.

I’m a lucky mother.

Jumping Jelly Beans! } Perth Children Photographer

Posted on December 23, 2009

‘Finding the Magic & Capturing it’ – that’s what I aim to do when I go to a person’s house to photograph their children.  I want to photograph what they love to do.  As for this little boy – well we’ve struck up a bit of a partnership over the years and he’s graciously allowed me to photograph him with very little trouble at all.  I thought that I would do a special post just about him, because I actually went over to photograph his new brother & sister.

As always Max, you’re a STAR!

Ladybirds, Pink Teddybears and New Babies } Perth Family & Maternity Photography

Posted on December 21, 2009

OK, I admit, I am running behind on the blogging – so I am sorry to all who have been so patient in their waiting for their post – especially to this beautiful family who have waited very patiently and have since given birth to a beautiful boy (congrats BTW!).  I took this gorgeous family and their little girl down to Pines Plantations at King’s Park to do a Maternity Session / Family Session and was immediately impressed and how sweet little Miss C. was!  She was delightful and full of beans.

Your Gallery should be up by the end of the week – Merry Christmas to all four of you!

An afternoon in Fremantle } Perth Family Photographer

Posted on November 23, 2009

Had a beautiful afternoon in Fremantle with Nilofar Walters from FigTree Photography.  The place was buzzing with brides & limo’s; tourists, kids, dogs and those funny moped machines going around!  Nikki & Darren were an absolutely gorgeous couple and I loved assisting Nils in capturing them.

A Beautiful Family & A Special Person } Perth Maternity Photographer

Posted on October 27, 2009

Karen and I have known each other for a long time now, and I have helped document some of the most wonderful events in her life – it’s been incredibly special.   Now, again another special event is on the horizon – twins which are due any time from now.  I can’t wait!  I used to do Maternity Sessions in a studio, but I love colour more than anything so I’ve decided to go out on location from now on – and I love the results!

Blue Skies & Wheat Fields} Perth Location Photographer

Posted on October 20, 2009

The family decided to try out the new car and go location hunting out in Wongan Hills, where I will photographing the very lovely Kelly & her gorgeous fiance Luke’s Wedding.  The drive out there was incredibly scenic – the wheat is in full swing and the sky was the bluest blue.  This Wedding season I have three country weddings and I am so looking forward to them!
