Amanda & Nick } E Session } Perth Wedding Photographer

Posted on March 11, 2010

I went to this shoot wondering what it was going to be like, because as it is everytime – shooting someone new is like jumping into a murky lake – you just don’t know what it’s going to be like.  In hindsight, I should have realised that it was going to be an easy easy shoot.  Amanda & Nick were so relaxed and casual – possibly because in the heat of the afternoon, how could you not be?  They brought their beautiful dog, Sam as well – who was incredibly spritely for one so old.  Sam also was a camera hogger as well and wanted to be basically the star of the show!  The day that Amanda & I chose to do their ‘E’ Session had, of course, to be a stupidly hot day followed by a very very hot evening.  . . . . 37 degrees at 6 p.m. (will this summer ever end?).  So, I decided to do something new and use my surroundings – so I got them into the water!  I think this could possibly be one of my more favourite shoots of the season.  I loved it.  The challenge was, to get Nick smiling on camera – which he says ‘NEVER’ happens – this I did with finesse (I’m sounding like a cat that’s just eaten a bowl of creme :) ).

Well, I can’t wait for your wedding next week, it’s going to be lovely for sure!

Enjoy the images.

Isn’t she just stunning?

So much love there.

Chelsea & Pete} E Session } Perth Wedding Photographer

Chelsea and Pete are getting married next weekend and I can’t wait – it’s going to be beautiful.  I was able to have a moment with them a few days ago in Hyde Park to take these shots and I was pretty thrilled!

Michelle & Justin } E Session } Perth Wedding Photographer

Posted on February 25, 2010

Michelle’s been emailing me, dying to see the sneak peak of the session I did with them recently and I have been dying to also get them up.  I had so much fun with two – such a lovely couple.  The Session ended up being much longer than usual as the light went from beautiful to magical in the space of an hour.  It also helped that a very kind gentleman came to me and offered me his property for photographic use whilst waiting for Michelle and Justin to turn up – and boy was that place fantastic!  It was an old turn of the century derelict weatherboard (wait . . . . that sounds like my house :) ) with cool walls and textures.  As usual, for me – I just got colour, colour and more colour.  Please believe me when I tell you that I love love love Black & White, but hey when I see colour like the colour that was at Michelle & Justin’s shoot – it’s hard to pass it by :)

Michelle & Justin – Wedding Next – yippeee!!

I love this one! :)

When this gorgeous couple booked me to photograph their wedding in Geraldton, I was really really excited – I love a good country wedding!  They had their E session in Perth on one these strange days where there was no light and much haze (and a whole lot of humidity :) ).  I can’t wait to travel up to Geraldton in April for the Wedding, I think it’s going to be an absolutely gorgeous one!

Highschool Sweethearts } Perth Wedding Photographer

Posted on January 24, 2010

Allison & Shane met when they were going to high school and have been dating ever since.  Next month I get to photograph their wedding at ‘The Cut’ Golf Course in Mandurah and I can’t wait.  They are both totally gorgeous and very very much in love.  They also get to break my record of being my youngest couple (I am now feeling offically very very old :) ), but it is so lovely to see two people who are so seriously in love and yet so young.  There has been talk about Shane losing the dreadies, but seriously dude they look so cool on you, I love them!

Can’t wait to see you again in Feb!

Rhiannon + Ben} Before the Wedding } Perth Wedding Photographer

Posted on January 18, 2010

I have been writing to Rhiannon in regards to her wedding for the past 18 months now and this was the first time I got to meet them, as they have been planning it from the UK!   We had first planned our Pre-Wedding shoot several days before, but put it off in hopes that the wind would drop slightly .  . . but alas it didnt, and it continued to blow a gale at Coogee Beach.  Here is a sneak peak of the Pre-Wedding Shoot – I know, Rhiannon that you are dying to see your Wedding Sneak Peak, but I couldn’t post those without posting these first!

An afternoon in Fremantle } Perth Family Photographer

Posted on November 23, 2009

Had a beautiful afternoon in Fremantle with Nilofar Walters from FigTree Photography.  The place was buzzing with brides & limo’s; tourists, kids, dogs and those funny moped machines going around!  Nikki & Darren were an absolutely gorgeous couple and I loved assisting Nils in capturing them.

Just Married Session } Perth Wedding Photographer

Posted on June 5, 2009

Autumn is my favourite time of the year -  the light is perfect, the trees are a glorious colour and life seems a little bit slower.

I had a lovely session with this lovely family – 6 months post wedding in December.  There were lots of gorgeous images,  so I’m trying something a little different for me – wish me luck!
